It's been a loud day, I appreciate all of you who came to say hello, I appreciate all the laughs we had together and I appreciate all the people who joined the South-East Queensland Transit Association. But, unfortunately, the time has come. I am writing to you live from the Shorncliffe line where EMU59 is on its way to its final terminus station before making that final journey back to Roma Street Station. The EMU, Entering service in the late 1970s has been a train of many laughs, incidents, fights and moments. Couples on their way to romantic dates, Young people spending every day, growing up on this train from child to graduation. Over 40 years of service, Of photos, of laughs of experiences, and it comes to an end today. On behalf of every South-East Queensland Transit Association member, I wish the Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) a heartfelt farewell, but note that this marks the beginning of a new chapter in Queensland Rail, One of new trains, new experiences, and new graduations. So, Goodbye EMU, And I appreciate all the memories the SEQTA crew has made attending this final service.
