Staff changes, rule changes and more
Good Evening! Hoping all is well. Yesterday we hit 200 members. A relatively big milestone, and not something many Brisbane train communities have reached. From my whole heart, I want to thank you for this. As such we're making a few changes:
Firstly, Mira is starting their role as Deputy-Director of SEQTA
Starting today, we welcome Mira to the new role. A passionate young public transport enthusiast, I will enjoy working with them to build the future of this group.
Secondly, Rai officially starts as our LGBTQ spokesperson
We want second-opinions on our important matters of our queer communities, so we've added another person to converse with in an attempt to ensure we have as many safeguards for LGBTQ people as possible.
Thirdly, New rules
- Zero tolerance for racist jokes and statements
- Clear stance on AI and AI use in chats
- Zero tolerance for sexual harassment
- Zero tolerance for making the space unsafe
Fourthly, We'll be redecorating channels
Use the Discord Feedback Channel to help shape the server!
Fifth, We are investigating a potential SEQTA website
This is a month away at the earliest, but we’re exploring how to publish press releases, contact info, and maybe financial support — but access to chats will always be free.
