A few days ago, we hit the six-month mark on the South-East Queensland Transit Association. 🚊 SEQTA was created to be a bastion of change. We aspired from the very beginning to be Queensland’s leading transit community and a place for advocates, spotters, foamers, and enjoyers to coalesce over a clear and common interest. In just a couple of months, we've:
- EMU, M1, M2, Rochedale Station, and more! 🚈
We've built a foundation of respect and compassion where many other groups in our state have made it clear that only certain types of people are welcome. In this time, we have grown to now 250 members, which we just hit. 🎖️ We are one of Queensland’s leading transit groups, with a strict and clear mandate for safety and progress. 🏳️🌈⭐️ So whilst this is a heartfelt celebration of six months in service, and of hitting 250 members- by no means is this the end, or the middle of our story or anything of the sort. In a way, this is a beginning. We've proven a queer-friendly transit space can thrive in this state, and we intend to use this community to build Queensland’s leading transit community. So to all, a heartfelt thank you from the leadership team for being a part of this movement. And to those joining us, we look to the future with where SEQTA is heading next.
